Hey everybody!! I’m a fourteen year-old rock/pop singer/songwriter who passionately love music! Right now, I’m busy completing my EP and getting ready for the No Bully Tour this summer. Since the beginning, I’ve known that singing is something I want to do for the rest of my life. My music is rock filled with bold messages. Lyrics are a huge part of my music because it’s my own way to both tell a story and have it be through music. This way I can express myself through both writing and singing. My dream is to impact people with my music and leave an imprint. So when the opportunity to join the No Bully Tour came up, I was ecstatic since I had just written a song on the topic.
Diamante: "Age of Rebellion Concert" Live
Bullying first touched me when I learned the story of Phoebe Prince, a 15 year-old girl living in Massachusetts that committed suicide after being incessantly bullied. I grew up in Boston, so even if at the time I was already living on the west coast, the story felt very close to home. Relocating to California I was at first scared, but thankfully, my class was very welcoming and I graduated middle school with an amazing group of friends. My little sister was not as fortunate. I remember finding her one evening crawled on the floor behind her bedroom door crying rocking back on forth. The laptop next to her was open on a page that said “clap, clap if you hate…..” There were dozens of posts “clap, clap, clap.” I wondered if any of those kids knew how much they were hurting her, and if they even though twice before joining in. It was then that something started to burn inside me, and I decided to write “Age of Rebellion”, the song that will give title to my soon to be released EP. I am grateful to all the people that have joined this cause and have helped in so many wonderful ways. But I personally wanted to do something from a different point of view. I wanted to step into the bullied kid shoes and help from there. “Age of Rebellion” is a magical battle where I am one of the bullied kids. We march together to stand up the fight and suddenly become beautifully empowered. It is message of hope and reclaiming strength. I hope you will all enjoy it and join me supporting this cause.
