When Steven Spielberg made his first ‘Indiana Jones” action thriller he heard a lot of comparisons with Belgian comic strip named Tintin, a fearless young reporter who was always looking for a story and ended up pursuing a world of high adventure. Finally after all these years Steven Spielberg collaborated with Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings) and directed a breathtaking action adventure with one of the most advanced 3-D animation. The movie is based on series of comic books by Georges Remi, who wrote using the pseudonym Herge. If you read the Tintin comics as a kid you might not like the way Spielberg and Jackson have made the movie an American style fast action thriller to a comic which is originally more laid back. At times it feels like Herge’s unique creations are reduced to Indiana Jones boilerplate Still you got to give both the directors a credit where they have inserted technology and animation smoothly in the movie and made the movie a must see entertainment for all.
