Heard of the hip-hop twins? If not, you should. Rich & Fameus (Rich and Michael Gamble), originally from The Bronx, New York, are on their way to the top and have co-signed with DJ and producer Don Cannon, who has worked with music artists such as 50 Cent, Big Sean, Young Jeezy and many others. Get to know how Rich & Fameus made it so far and how being twins effects their hip-hop game.
iaam: Why do you spell “Fameus” in a different way? iaam: Is one of you “Rich” and the other “Fameus?” Or are you both “Rich & Fameus?”
Rich & Fameus: Rich is one person because that’s my real name. Fameus is separate. It represents our culture: FAME =US. Plus famous represented Michael’s attitude at the time!
iaam: What made you two become so passionate about music?
Rich & Fameus: The identity that music helps provide is the foundation for our passion because we used to be really sports oriented. The freedom that music provides feeds the passion to express your own ideas and feeling for people.
iaam: When did you two first decide to make a career within the music industry?
Rich: We decided to make it a career when we realized we could make a contribution to the industry and have a positive affect on people. The event was after Teddy Ruger, another rapper, got me in the studio for the first time.

iaam: Who did you listen to while growing up?
Rich & Fameus: Growing up we listened to Alanis Morissette, Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, Snoop, Tupac, Biggie, Blink 182, Joan Osborne, Third Eye Blind, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot, and many more!
iaam: What was your life like growing up?
Fameus: We grew up poor in the Projects but it was normal for us. We were adopted and grew up in a huge family. We come from humble beginnings.

iaam: How did you get to where you are now?
Rich: We are where we are now by the grace of God, positive role models, and mentors.
iaam: Were there any struggles along the way?
Rich: There were many, many obstacles, and reasons for us to quit but like anything in life you have to understand why you are doing it. People are always going to tell you “no,” and you just have to get used to that!
iaam: Did the fact that you two were twins play any part in your success?
Rich: Being twins gives us that X- Factor and unique element that creates curiosity.
iaam: Did being twins ever set you two back or cause any difficulties?
Rich: Being a twin can sometimes confuse people. At first they didn't know if it was one or two of us but overall it never really had a negative affect.
iaam: How are you two different from each other?
Fameus: We have simple differences as far as looks go but we are extremely different as far as personality goes. Rich is more worried about everything and Fameus is more like I'm not going to let nothing worry me.
